As I’ve repeatedly written in this and other spaces, Dylan Ratigan is a singularly unique Patriot Hero of this transition to Capitalism++. Whether or not to do Capitalism++ has long since stopped being subject to debate, WE ARE MAKING THAT TRANSITION; the question is, as always: QUI BONO? The proposed and actual TRILLIONS of government spending over the next SEVERAL YEARS could go just about anywhere (short of bridges to nowhere) to have the desired economic stimulative effects. What baseless decree, from a non-existent almighty, demands that those expenditures should continue to Exacerbate Already Unsustainable Resource Skews?

P.S. If you or I were nakedly long corn, rice, gold, the euro, housing, or ANYTHING for one nano-second beyond our margin limits, we would be Utterly Financially Destroyed on the spot; bankrupt; and our entire business credibility would most likely be irrevocably rescinded. How do the architects of this greatest of heists in all American history have ANY money left in their personal bank accounts? How? To allow them to walk with billions in PERSONAL bonuses and to not establish a Basic Income for all Americans, effective beginning Q2 2009, is almost unimaginable. We can only hope that our newly elected leaders truly have the courage to do all that we’ve hired them to do — express and implied. It won’t be easy; to finally lay claim to this ultimate success of industrial era capitalism, to finally and perpetually declare the centuries-in-arrears Productivity Dividend on behalf of each and every fully-vested citizen, we will be defying the demigods themselves: none other that Steve (Zeus) Forbes, and his pantheon, so I am not in any way diminishing the difficulty of this road ahead. I therefore remain, jadedly optimistic.
