So this is just an experiment with both BlogTalkRadio and idea for a show format. Pat and I have been having fairly animated debates on a number of sociopolitical topics for years; however, we do share a common commitment to forging a Constitutional Society that provides the best for everyone to maximize Life, Liberty, and Happiness. We both feel strongly obliged to fight “for the world as it SHOULD be.” A highly respect acquaintance @dzakye recently pointed out to me, “wouldn’t people then fight over what SHOULD be?” Yes, dzakye, we do! In this concept program series, we would attempt to engage in that debate in a way that is at least intellectually honest and mutually respectful (to the extent one can ever respect the “other” who is so clearly off their rocker!). I also do my best to remind myself that we are each the “other” to someone else, so none of us is in a more privileged position when it comes to these real life negotiations. Personally, I’d rather not call this “The Pat & Mike *Show*” … I like the idea of just keeping it in a very human dimension and just calling it “Pat & Mike.” Pat, of course, may disagree, so we’ll cross that bridge if we come to it.

In this first segment, we don’t really cut right to the chase of the program topic, but I think we do a reasonable job of setting up for that direction in future segments. Thanks for checking it out, comments, critiques, tips, and cash always appreciated. Onward!
